In the past few months, the Intu Trafford Centre has become one of my favourite shopping destination.
Probably due to some big new opening as Kiko, Zara Home, H&M home to name a few, my visits to the shopping and entertaining colossum have been more and more frequent.
Despite being a usual visitor, I was shock to discover how much I was missing.
I was invited to discover some of the beauty treatments available throughout all the centre and all I can tell is WOW!
I think that majority of the visitors ignore how many options the centre offers.
Nearly all the beauty counters in Selfridges, John Lewis, Boots, Debenhams offer free make overs, personalized skincare consultations and the same service is offered in stores as the Body Shop or L'occitane (hand massage to die for!).
My tour of beauty pampering was called "The indulgence hour", just to demonstrate how, in between a meal, shopping and a movie, you can enjoy some complimentary treatments or express beauty services.
First stop was Estee Lauder counter in Selfridges.
I have tried so many products and this brand just never disappoints.
I haven't found a better foundation then the Double Wear yet and every visit at the counter normally sees me leaving with a little blue bag.
Every client can enjoy a full consultation regarding skincare or make up (or both!) for a completely personalized regime.
I was asked to fill a questionnaire regarding product used, concerns and expectations.
15 minutes was all it took to explore my skincare needs, discover suitable products and fit them in my routine.
I went for the "Get the glow" treatment, where the MUA explored with me all I could use to get that healty natural glow.
The products I was more impressed with were:
Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean make up remover
Dissolves every trace of foundation with a sliky and gentle foam leaving a soft and clean skin.
Estee Lauder Micro Essence
A hydrating and smoothing lotion
Enlighten night serum
I am obsessed with my pigmentations so this dark spot corrector is totally my cup of tea.
Illuminating Perfect Primer
Next time you visit an estee Lauder counter, have your foundation matched and try it at the back of your hands with and without this primer. You will tank me later. It's all about the glow!
The taylored make up services is incredibly important when it comes to choose the right shades for you, especially when we talk foundations.
If you struggle to find your colour, you will find a nice surprise here at Estee Lauder: the matching foundation tool is a device that, after being applied on cheeck, forehead and chin, "reads" your skintone, suggesting matching foundations, powder, blushers and listicks.
Much easier than going around with an entire make up stands on your wrist!
Express facials, make over, foundation match and 3 minutes beauty services are all available on a walk in basis whilst other services as expert facials or bridal make up can be booked in advance.
Second stop was the enchanted world of Liz Earle in Boots.
Once again, it's all about an extremely taylored and personalized service.
Liz Earle is famous world wide for her cleasing balm but it was an incredibly nice surprise there is much more.
Body care, skincare, hair care, make up and candles are all there to be discovered, tried and loved!
I was completely blown away by the fragrances, all of them have been formulated following specific requests by Liz herself and the result is a set of incredibly unique scents.
My favourite has to be N.100, an explosion of floral scents created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Chelasea Flower Show.
Liz Earle products are not tested on animals and as you can see there are always lovely (and convenient) gift sets to purchase.
I was treated with an incredibly relaxing head massage that in 5 minutes ereased the stress of an entire day in work.
The lovely Lady used this Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil, that has an incredibly lightweight texture and scent. My hair were shiny and soft but not greasy at all.
Every Liz Earle counter has a facialis that will be happy to offer complimentary skincare and make up consultation and the Boots one has got a private treatment room for your treatments.
It is just incredible how these small and quick "you time" can really help get that tension off and being sat down there surrounded by Liz Earle's wonder products was a real treat.
After my pampering with Liz Earle, I trotted to Superdrug. I already said here how much I love the new Trafford Centre store, so it was just a very pleasant surprise to find out that together with the Lash and the Braid bar, you can find a Nail Bar too.
A full manicure with polish is only 5 pounds whilst a gel manicure is, brace yourselves, only 15 pounds!
There is a great selection of shades, Rimmel mainly. I went for this bright red coral shade and it took about 15 minutes to have a full manicure.
This is a walk in services that doesn't require appointments, you just need to pay before at the till (so you get points on your Superdrug card too!) and then show the recipt.
My extreme beauty adventure ended up in The Body Shop.
My main attention went on the new high profile skincare line "Drops of Youth" packed with active ingredients that target wrinkles, pigmentations, pores.
I tried the Wonderblur, a primer to be applied after your moisturizer and before the make up.
My skin felt incredibly even and smooth and when the mua applied the foundation, it was incredibly easy to blend it.
The Body Shop follows the step of the "big names" and it is, once again, all about giving the client a personalized and unique taylored experience, with tablets where questionnaires can be filled to give the best advices about the products to use.
The services offered are facials, makeovers and foundation match.
So let's have little recap:
15 minutes in Estee Lauder for a mini facial and a skincare consultation
15 minutes with Liz earle for a head massage
15 minutes fr a full manicure in Superdrug#
15 minutes in The body shop for foundation match and make up.
One hour indulgence all for myself! Not bad at all and the best thing is you can do the same!
Have a good night my lovelies!
