PUPA STAY GOLD 001 HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Hello my dears!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas, full of presents, hoy and food, food, all kind of food.

It's has been all about the strobing this past year and all the winter/holidays collections featured highlighters of all sorts.

Now, I am pleased to say I have got my personal winner of the category.

Best highlighter of the year is..drumrolls please..this one!

Pupa Stay Gold 001 is pure and simple gold in a pressed powder form.

Pupa is one of the most established Italian brands.

I saw a preview of their Christmas collection on Instagram and I knew this was gonna be the best seller so I asked my friend to pre order and buy it for me.

It doesn't have glitter in it, it's more a foiled, metal effect.

It's a dark gold that works incredibly well for both dark and fair skintones.

It has got a strange buttery consistency that makes application easier with a small but dense contour brush.

I have used it as an highlighter, as a shadow, on top of my red lipstick and it's a win win win.

It's a bit pricey, I think is around 17/18 pounds but for me it is totally worth it.

It beats without any doubt the Mac In Extra Dimension Skinfinish from the Magic of the Night collection, in terms of blending and colour payoff.

I can't unfortunately find a UK retailer for it or Pupa in general but maybe EBay or Instagram sellers can help.

Have a great day people!

SELFRIDGES TRAFFORD CENTRE FOOD EVENT AND LAST MINUTE GIFT IDEAS

Hello Everybody!

It's official: if you haven't finished you Christmas shopping yet, you are officially in the s**t!

Last minute Christmas shopping is, 99% of the times, a complete failure, translating in inappropriate and boring gifts.

There is only one way to be safe: food.
You don't know what to buy? Go for food, you can't really get wrong with it.

Cakes, chocolates, wine, sweets, can't make anybody unhappy.

A couple of weeks back I attended a dedicated event in Selfridges Trafford Centre and I am gonna share with you all the pictures for some last minute inspirations.

The choice is massive, from the retro style sweets to the beautifully decorated cupcakes, from the handmade Christmas cakes to the evergreen macaroons selection.

I particularly enjoyed the live demonstration of the "Fudge in my kitchen" kit, a perfect gift idea to your friends with a a sweet tooth.

I bought some meringues and a gingerbread house for friends and they were absolutely delighted.

I hope I gave you some good ideas, now run run run, Christmas eve is around the corner!

GOSH MAKE UP HAUL AND GWP IN SUPERDRUG

Hello beauties!

Leave whatever you are doing, now and go to Superdrug, there is a deal you cannot miss.

Ok, maybe read this post first and then go.

I told you in the previou post how I found myself enjoying a bit of shopping in the newly renovated Superdrug in Trafford Centre recently.

There are some good offers and promotions around, with some nice gwp.

This one, in my opinion, is the best one.

With only £10 spending on Gosh make up cosmetics, you will receive this incredible eyeshadows palette.

The Gosh Smokey Nude palette contains 10 colours, from the softest cream to the deepest black to create the perfect smokey eyes.

The palette is made of hard cardboard, with a mirror and a double ending brush (too small for my tastes).

I like the shade selection, considering I love to go for a brown/golden smokey the same way I can go for a silver/black one.

The quality of the shadows is very good, nothing too chalky and they all blend very well.

To qualify for the free gift, I had to spend a mere 10 quids on Gosh, easy peasy, I got the Velvet Touch Lipliner in 007 Pink Pleasure (£4.99) and Forever Lip Shine in 005 Flirty Dreams (£6.99).

I went for easy everyday shades, I never get bored of pinky-nude lip and if I am doing a smoky eyes I always go for soft tones on my lips.

The promotion is valid in store and online but I don't know how long for, I wouldn't miss it, so quick, go and buy my friends, go and buy.

NEW SUPERDRUG STORE IN MANCHESTER TRAFFORD CENTRE AND LITTLE HAUL

Last Thursday I was invited to a food event held in Selfridges Trafford Centre, so I decided to stay a little bit longer to indulge in some Christmas shopping.

I went inside Superdrug to explore the usual Make Up Revolution and MUA cosmetics (both Superdrug exclusive) and my jaw nearly dropped on the floor.

The store has been completely renovated and let me tell you, it's A MA ZING!

It was refurbished not longer ago but now, it looks ten times better.

The make up section is on the right hand side of the shop, opposite place to where it used to be.

The lights are incredible, finally I did not have to wonder around with my arm full of swatches in order to capture the good light and check the real colours.

All the different stands are so spacious and mirrors are everywhere for a quick make up fix.

There is a braid bar and a B.for Beautiful dressing table, together with the usual threading corner.

The best part of all the refurbishment was that new brands have been added to the already big selection available.

I am talking about The Balm (that has been seen briefly in Harvey Nichols and then was in Superdrug online only), Ciate' for Olivia Palermo (so good but ridiculously expensive), Lottie London and Make Up Revolution.

My enthusiasm led me to an urge to buy something, so here we go...

I spotted this B.sculpted Blush and Highlight (£7.49) stick on Instagram few months ago and I knew I had to get it.

It's a creamy stick that contains a blush and a highlighter, it's available in Light, Medium and Dark.

You apply it following your cheekbones and then blend it.

The blush has got a matte finish whilst of course the highlighter is quite shimmer.

It's a fool-proof product, extremely easy ans nice to use, one of those multi function cosmetic ideal when you travel.

At this point, I needed a brush to blend it...how lucky the Real Techniques Sculpting brush (£6.65) was on sale?

The thing I like most about this brush is that it's very dense but at the same time, it's incredibly soft.

Staying on the brush isle, I got this set, the Ultra Sculpt and Blend by Make Up Revolution (£14.99).

There are three brushes and a sponge.

The black sponge is very similar to the beauty blender but it's slightly softer.

The brushes are all synthetic, with a rose gold medium length handle and duo fibre bristles.

I am gonna use the big one for foundation, the medium one for contouring and the small one for eyeshadows.

I got something else but it was such a bargain it deserves its own post!

So next time you visit the Traffor Centre in Manchester, go and have a look to Superdrug, you will thank me later.
I hope to see the same kind of renovation in the other Superdrugs around Manchester.

Speak you soon!!!

MANCHESTER ARNDALE VLOGGER CHRISTMAS EDITION

Hi!

Here we are, once again, talking about Christmas shopping.

Despite loving all the lights, the decorations and the general festive atmosphere, I must confess the shopping itself can be, for me, quite intimidating.

All the shops, the malls and department stores are packed with gift ideas of all sorts, presents of all kind, so many options that the whole experience can be quite overwhelming and confusing, especially if I don't have a precise idea of what to buy.

This year the task has been made a bit easier by Manchester Arndale with their VLOGGER CHRISTMAS EDITION, where 9 of the top you tube vloggers gathered together to film and edit live their top 10 wish list in different categories.

Let me introduce you Em (top 10 winter coats), Laura (gifts for women), Tiny (party outfits), the incredibly cute Harry (gifts for kids), Michael (gifts for men), our superstar Lily (gadgets), Jess (beauty products) and Jennie (party heels) and last but not least Jamie for a very special Christmas beauty tutorial.

The videos were filmed in the live set situated in the Arndale itself, it was very interesting to see live all the process of filming and editing, big applause for all this boys and girls for the effort they put in doing this all the time.

My favourite videos are my friend Lily of course and Jess with her beauty buys.

So, if you are not sure what to buy and you want to have some good ideas, i would suggest you to have a look to these videos, I am sure you will be able to find that something special you are looking for.

All the links are up in the post or here, on the Manchester Arndale You tube channel.

Well done guys!
