URBAN DECAY NAKED 3 PALETTE SWATCHES AND QUICK REVIEW

I was sold on this palette in the same moment I read all these words "Urban Decay, Palette, Naked, Rose Gold" in the same sentence.

A full review is useless, would be the 3000th on the web, plus, this is the third of the Naked series from Urban Decay so we all now, by now, what are we talking about: extraordinary value for the money, highly pigmented shadows, dreamy blending.

I must say I love the metal case and the idea of the different primer potions samples; on the other side I would have liked some more matte shades (there are only 3).

Compared to the other two, this one has got less glittery shades, apart from the mat ones all the rest have got metal and shimmer finish but no chunky glitter to be seen anywhere. Good.

It's pretty confused, at the moment, where, when and how this is/will be available.

I got mine from the counter at Debenhams and it looks like is not sold out yet online here at House of Fraser.

Price is the same, £37.

Enjoy the swatches!

MARKS AND SPENCER AUTOGRAPH PURE COLOUR MOUSSE EYESHADOW CHOCOLATE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

The Marks and Spencer beauty counter for me is like one of those hidden corners full of surprises.

Since the big makeover the Manchester counter had last year, I find myself browsing around more and more frequently and it's not rare to find some really interesting gems.

This is why I found this little pot of joy.

I have been looking for ages for a good and intense brown cream eyeshadow and when I saw this I couldn't actually believe it costs a mere £7.50.

It's the most pigmented mousse eyeshadow I ever come across. I have few mousse eyeshadows from different brand but I have never seen such an intense pay off.

It blends nicely but you have to be quick because once is dry there is no way you can move the product around.

I normally use a flat synthetic brush or, better, my finger tips.

The shade itself is a rich chocolate brown full of red, gold and bronze shimmers. I have used it alone or as a base for two of my favourite eyeshadows, Nars Mekong and Kiko Cosmetics Water Eyeshadow in Chocolate.

There are two more shades that are on my wish list at the moment, maybe I could consider them as stocking fillers, who know.

You can find this eyeshadow in every M&s store that stocks Autograph make up and online here.

Any marks and Spencer beauty purchase you want to share?

KIKO SUGAR MAT NAIL LAQUER 640 SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Do you know Kiko?

You don't? Shame on you!

Kiko Cosmetics is the most popular make up brand made in Italy. You won't find a single Italian woman without something branded Kiko in the make up bag.

In the past years its popularity has increased enormously in Italy and abroad and the result is that more and more shops are opening all over the world.

In UK there are only three stores at the moment, two in London Westfield shopping centres and one just opened in Regent street.

I have got a long and trusted relationship with Kiko: great variety of products, reasonable price, good quality are some of the reason for my deep love for this brand: visiting the shop in my town when I go back home is usually the second thing I do after saying hello to my Mum and Dad.

There have been some misses, don't get me wrong, but overall I would totally recommend a shopping experience on their website.

There are about 5 collections released every year, with limited edition products and colours and promotions and sales are not rare.

Some products from past limited edition collections

I really hope there will be more Kiko shops opening soon all over the UK (I'll have one in Manchester, thanks), in the meantime, we can shop online here.

Today I want to show you a nail polish I bought last summer called Sugar Mat Nail Lacquer, shade 640.

It's one of the textured nail polished every single brand has decided to release this past year.

The effect is quite mat but incredibly sparkling thanks to the glitter and micropearls inside the polish 9hence the Sugar mention in the name).

I apply two coat to get full coverage, no top coat. The polish itself is quite thick and dense but this doesn't create me any problem, probably because the brush is very wide and flat, you don't have any reason to mess about really.

It takes a couple of minutes to dry and I got 2-3 days without noticing any chipped end, quite good compared to the single day I normally get even with a top coat.

The shade is a coral orange-red with golden sparkles. Very summery but yet, very Christmas-y!

It's very similar, texture-wise, to the Models Own Velvet Goth but much better in quality (if you follow me on Instagram you will know I didn't enjoy that at all) and most of all it dries much quicker.

Give this a try if you like this kind of effect on your nails, you can buy it for £3.90 and even if at the moment there is only one shade available, I am sure all the others will be stocked again soon.

Any Kiko product you want me to review for you? I have got my drawers full!

KIEHL'S SKINCARE CONSULTATION AND CHRISTMAS GIFTS IDEAS

Back in October, my skin was screaming for help.

As explained here, a long and sunny summer left its marks in the form of a lot marks, spots and hyperpigmentations. The Biotherm Serum In Oil helped a lot but still, few problems were visible.

That's why I couldn't be more happy to enjoy a skincare consultation with American cosmetic giant  Kiehl's.

I had the appointment booked with Sissi at the Selfridges Exchange, where the Kiehl's counter is something you really don't want to miss.

It's very big and has got that "pharmacy" look with all the labels on the wooden drawers and the products on the shelves.

I really like the fact that all the products are on display, all the testers are easy to reach, so if you, like me, are the kind of client that want to go around the counter trying and looking at everything by herself, you'll love this place.

After a little chat and few questions, Sissi did a test on my skin applying some paper strips and analysing the result.

It appears that I have got quite oily skin on my t zone but some dry areas around the cheekbones. I talked about my main concern too, the dark marks, so she set up a skincare regime suitable for my condition.

This is what she came up with:

First thing: the cleanser.
I was given two options, The Clearly Corrective White Purifying Cleanser (£23), targeted to treat discolourations and dark spots and the Rare Heart Deep Pore Daily Cleanser (£18) more specific for oily skin and visible pores.

I was recommended to use the cleanser morning and night, followed by a specific toner, this for example, the Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Tone (£34) that has got a soothing effect on a skin with some problems like mine.

I like the fact that you can actually see bits of herbs and leaves in the bottle!

And here comes the star..

This Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution (£49) promises to fight the hyperpigmentations and the dark spots of the skin...ah baby I was looking for you!

Their new released serum serum looks quite interesting too,it's called Midnight Recovery Concentrate (£36) and acts like a boost of energy for your face.

At this point the only thing left is the moisturiser. This is one of the best selling products from Kiehl's, the Clearly corrective white deep moisture clarifying cream (£41) that combines a deep moisturising effect with a clarifying action.

I decided to purchase the serum (how can I resist something that is called "corrective dark spots"?) and Susie was so kind to give me some samples, as the multi awards winning body moisturiser Creme De Corps (seriously Kiehl's people, how many prizes did this cream get?), the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, the new moisturiser Super Multi Corrective Cream and the Double Strenght Deep Wrinkle Filler.

I will soon post a more detailed review about some of the products shown and some other of my Kiehl's favourites.

There are some beautiful Christmas gift ideas at the moment, with a limited edition packaging designed by the New York city artist Eric Haze.

I really would like to thank you Sissi for her help and everybody at the Kiehl's counter for your help and your patience with my Precious Baby (that during my appointment required a feed, a nappy change and some singing to get asleep) and of course thanks to Jen for my appointment.

If you have any skin concern, I strongly recommend to go and have a talk with all the nice people at the Kiehl's counter, you too can have a skin consultation to help you decide what is better for you.

Stay tuned for more reviews, especially about a certain product that will feature as my absolute star product of the year.

COUNTRY ATTIRE VIP BLOGGERS EVENT

When I was invited to the Country Attire event two weeks ago,I was, to be honest, expecting to meet the PR and the other bloggers and to have a chat about the different products offered.

Well, let's say it didn't really go like that.

I had one of the most brilliant afternoon since I start blogging.

We were invited to the Country Attire warehouse itself where we met the Pr team and one of the founder and owner of the online store, Jenny!

I find myself having a sumptuous afternoon tea with the best cake ever (thank you Jenny's mum, your chocolate and guinnes cake will always have a special place in my heart) discussing shoes, clothes, brands, trends: let's call it heaven.

We were then introduced to EVERY staff member (sales, IT, marketing, buyers, everybody!) and showed all around the offices.

There were few jaw droppings when we visited the actual stock room, and I remember thinking "oh OK you can go, just lock me in"

We were given the chance to have a tour of the photography studio too, were all the pictures of the items on sale are taken. You can tell that they do an amazing job here, all the pictures are very neat, sharp and detailed (which I believe is very important when you are going to buy something online) and from when a picture is taken it takes only 48 hours to see it on the website.

Was pretty clear that at Country Attire, they deal with every aspect "in the house".

Jenny told us about how the business was born few years ago as an online place to shop luxury English brands, mainly focused on country fashion. During the past years, they have grown a lot and they are very proud now to stock not only the most established English brands but a best selection of international designer too, with buyers constantly looking for new names but never compromising on the quality of the products.

A small selection of clothes, shoes and accessories were there on display.

Look at the shoes!!!!

These were my faves, especially the black Vivienne Westwood number with the leopard bow.

They even stock the Sorel boots, this winter's must have footwear, featured few weeks ago in Look Magazine as one of the most famous among celebrities.

A pleasant surprise was to see and touch with hands Country Attire's own brand, CO/AT, where the best Scottish cashmere is used to realise some very posh and beautiful garments like these two knitwear with real Swarovsky details (* takes note, possible present for Mummy).

I was in love with Lily and Lionel printed scarves and Isabel Del Pedro  edgy pieces. All of us blogger have been drooling over this coat, modelled for us by the gorgeous Sindy.

Something that caught my eyes was this brand of lingerie, Yummie Tummie; I must admit I didn't know it but those pieces look like the most comfy things ever, soft and of course seamless.

When I came back home I had a good look at the website and I must say, I was really impressed.

The shop is the first place to stop for the quintessential of English names like BarbourZatchels Vivienne Westwood and many more, plus some big international brands like Italian Ash  (amazing shoes)and Napapijri (exquisite outdoor clothing) etc.

There is a good selection of Womenswear, Menswear, Accessories, Childrenswear and a Beauty section too, where they stock hyper luxury brand MOR (body butter=to die for).

Browsing the site and looking for products is very easy and intuitive.

Every item's description is accurate and full of details and pictures, with history of the brand and live stock availability: only pointing the mouse arrow on a product will show you the sizes in stock, the whole shopping experience couldn't be easier really.

They offer free worldwide shipping, free UK returns, same day dispatch if you order before 4pm and a live chat service, pretty impressive innit?

The fact that they have only the 12% of returns is a good sign these people know how to do their job and just to prove this you can see they have been higly commended for few awards.

If I were in you, I would advise parents/relatives/husband/boyfriend to have a good browse on the Country Attire Christmas is coming, you know?

In my wishlist are this Day Birger Night Bijou bracelet  and those Lola Cruz Trainers.

I don't wanna be selfish, so I could buy this Westwood Tie for my Perfect  Husband, this Sorel Toddler snow boots because I am a good mum and I can definitely see my Adorable Dog snoring on this Joules Snuggle Dog Bed. Family sorted!!!!

Ah, before I go, don't forget to check the sale section to find some amazing saving!

I really would like to thank everybody at Country Attire for the marvellous experience, Truth Pr Company and of course Jenny and Natalie for being so nice to me, you are such a great team!
Thank you of course for the goody bag, sweets were gone by the time I got home!

Thank you Joanna for driving me there, I would have probably been lost somewhere in the dark if it wasn't for you!

Now, pass me that last slice of cake and nobody will get hurt.
